About Us

Cela Education was birthed from a desire to help all students, but especially those students often tagged with phrases like:

"can't sit still"    "wander in class,"   "can't focus"

"gets angry easily"     "gets frustrated easily"    "doesn't like to write"

These students are often diagnosed with labels like ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, ODD, CD, emotionally low IQ, cognitively impaired, and special learning disabled, to name a few. After years of collective experience, much research, and a prayer for Divine guidance, an idea for alternative classrooms that allow students to learn and move was created. At Cela Education, we strongly believe that when children are given the opportunity to develop their bodies and minds, their ability to learn increases exponentially. Cela Education has developed a program that will enhance age-appropriate learning based on movement and exploration that will strengthen students' bodies and minds as they develop psychomotor skills that enhance the laterality necessary for reading, writing, and math. To achieve this goal, Cela Education classrooms will offer a broad spectrum of teaching tools that are often seen in a Waldorf or Montessori classroom, from peg boards to skip-counting hopscotch. The classroom will also embrace movement through various forms of art, often done while listening to a story. Ample open gym time is also provided, where the students can explore the world of gymnastics and ninja with coaches nearby for guidance, introducing to the students the reasons for boundaries and rules, even in fun and play in line with the teachings of Charlotte Mason. And most of all, the teachings of the Bible will be shared and discussed to help remind the students that they are "fearfully and wonderfully made."

Mission

The Mission of Cela Education is to provide an alternative homeschool educational environment that provides students a space to learn, explore, and move to improve their minds, bodies, and spirits, becoming the best that God made them to be

“For it was You who created my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I will praise You because I have been fearfully and wonderfully made."

Psalms 139:13-14
